Below are the first couple paragraphs of a very epic coming out letter. It is so well written and has a lot of personal strength in it that you don't normally see in a 16 y/o.
"..... I am sick of hiding the truth, I am done keeping secrets and I am tired of putting my personal life to the side. I have always been told to be myself and to love myself, so that is what I plan on doing.
For 16 years, I have struggled with a secret. At times this secret has haunted and confused me, but it has made me into the open-minded person I am today. Though it has been tough, I have dealt with this the best way I could. I have recently learned that overtime; secrets come out, so today, I will do just that. Come out. ...."

How Did I Miss Gabriel Mann All These Years?
I have been glued to ABC’s Revenge on Wednesday nights basically because I followed Connor Paolo as he moved from TheCW’s Gossip Girl where his character was treated like a piece of background furniture to ABC’s Revenge where he is a regular cast member. Emily VanCamp from Everwood is pretty cool on the series too.
I started off watching the series to see Connor Paolo have a great character that falls in love with a rich girl. This character Nolan walks on screen who is a friend of the dead father who the main character is trying to avenge. Emily is trying to get revenge on the people that framed her father and Nolan is a computer programmer geek who struck it rich by building his company with the help of Emily’s father who was the only one who believed in him at the time. Nolan is the only one who knows who Emily is and why she is back in town … Revenge.
At first Nolan (Gabriel Mann) comes off as a snooty rich geeky guy socially shunned by the rich snobs in the Hamptons. I immediately fell for the character because he felt so alone in the world … you know, the whole “money can’t buy you happiness” thing. I honestly after a few episodes thought he was going to end up falling in love with Emily messing up her plans for revenge in the end. Something happened I didn’t see coming. A character Tyler (Ashton Holmes from Nikita) shows up and is weaseling his way into the rich family Emily is trying to get revenge on. Nolan is helping Emily find out what Tyler is up to ends up rolling around naked with Tyler on a couch. Nolan tapes it to use as leverage but it backfires because Nolan gets outed in the process. This show is like a thousand times better than I am making it sound. I usually don't get sucked into soap operas but ABC got me with this series.Below is a clip from ABC.COM from the aftermath of Nolan being outed.

Lost In Kostko … If you don’t know that name you will soon. It’s a band from California that has captured the garage band punk sound of the 90’s which is very refreshing in the era of Gaga and Bieber. The band consists of Tyler Posey (guitar/lead vocals), Alex Gertsh (drums), Freddy Ramirez (vocals/guitar), Jeremy Bauer (bass/being too adorable). The band was formed back in 2009 and the guys come from the Santa Clarita area in southern California. You can sample their music at their Facebook page and grab their EP on iTunes.

A Thought About Taylor Lautner
Labels:

I wanted to stop and comment a second or two on the fake magazine cover of Taylor Lautner that has been floating around the internet the last couple days. I am not going to repost it here. I am sure whoever copy and pasted it together was more less doing it as a joke but you should never screw around with another person’s sexual identity.
Gay people know what it’s like to struggle day to day with bullying and stupidity flying all around them and at them. But young people in general have so many problems to deal with we sometimes forget that we don’t have the corner of the market on angst. Boys that like girls and girls that like boys have many of the same issues we deal with day in day out too.
Publically calling ANY young person out on his or her sexuality is just plain mean and shows very little compassion for the people you are sharing this world with. We need to stop and remember how we feel about certain things and realize some people feel worse than we do.
Just remember that everything we do affects the people around us and we have a responsibility to think about the way we affect people. One act we do can stop a series of events with a negative outcome just like something we choose to do or say can cause a positive outcome in someone’s life.
Just a few words to think about … or ridicule me with … you choose :)

Amazing SpiderMan Can't Get Here Soon Enough

There has been a ton of criticism around the web lately about the new reboot of Spiderman that we are getting in summer of 2012. I think that is because there were a lot of fans of the Sam Raimi trilogy with Tobey Macguire. I always thought that Raimi Spiderman was an imitation of the Spiderman I have know through the comic books and animation throughout the years. There were too many things that bothered me about Raimi's adaptation. The first being the webs coming out of Peter's wrists deleting the classic web shooters which I think took away Peter Parker's science geek cred. The second thing I hated was the Goblin storyline which was pretty ruined by the awful Green Goblin costume. They took great casting in Willem Defoe and ruined it by making the Goblin a Power Ranger. The third thing that was icing on the already bad cake was the 3rd movie. The way Venom made Peter act was written goofy. They cast Topher Grace as Venom when he actually would have made a really good Peter Parker for the entire series. They screwed up the Goblin costume even more. Sand Man was kind of cool and well cast but didn't do anything for the venom storyline. Out of the trilogy Dr. Octopus was the only thing they did well.
Now flash forward to now. English acting sensation Andrew Garfield is cast as a very geeky skinny Peter Parker which he was for many years in the original comic book. After seeing the trailer for The Amazing Spiderman I have heard comic/movie nerds throwing around the term "emo" describing the new Peter Parker. I had to think about what they were describing and and what it ment to the character. The movie is set in modern day and focuses around a teen that is a total geek and has been bullied most of his life in school. There is a very emo aspect to that scenario so I am thinking it sounds like the writer, director, and producers have their head in the right place and have thought this through. All these people's complaints actually make the story more likable and realistic at least to me.
People are griping about the costume because they say it looks like crap. I look at it and see that it has none of the muscle augmenting padding of the Raimi Spidey suit which I thought looked silly. The new suit shows off Garfield's skinny build which is EXACTLY the way Spiderman was drawn in the beginning before he grew up and filled out a little more. The suit looks like something a 17 y/o would have thrown together which ads a bit a realism to the storyline which makes the movie even more attractive to me. Add the fact that they have Parker constructing web shooters so he can have webbing to go along with his new spider powers is right out of the comic book.
This is Spiderman to me. The exact character brought to life. He is a snarky sarcastic teen who just got his first taste of real power and isn't going to take crap from people any more until he realizes what a huge responsibility it really is. On a side note Emma Stone looks amazing as Gwen Stacey.Tuesday, December 20, 2011
Jack The Giant Killer Looks Epic

I for one try to never miss anything english actor Nicholas Hoult is in. I totally fell in love with this actor as soon as I saw him in Skins season one and two as the charming manipulater, Tony. I then again was impressed by his performance along side Colin Firth in the movie A Single Man. He got killed by Medusa as Eusebious in Class Of The Titans. There isn't a much cooler way to die on screen than to be killed by an ancient titan. This summer we got to see Nicholas as Hank McCoy, The Beast, in X-Men: First Class. Nick did a great job as usual along with the rest of the great X-men cast making the first X-men movies look like childs play.On June 15, 2012 we get to see Jack The Giant Killer from director Bryan Singer and I have to say after seeing the trailer I am excited. I love to see fairy tale pop out of books and onto the big screen. This rendition of Jack And The Beanstalk looks quite excellent. The rest of the main cast is made up of
Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Warwick Davis, Bill Nighy, and Ian McShane.

Some SciFi Action In Ozzie's Future
Labels:

Ozzie Through The Ages
Some Sci Fi is in Ozzie's future as the story i am writing takes place in the year 2370 and Ozzie is living in space flying supplies between planets and helping an alien species survive in that is under attack by a more aggressive species. This story deals a lot with his interaction with the alien species instead of humans.
Ozzie has more less been adopted into a family of Chinni who are a reptilian race seeking refuge in the Terran Free Forces (TFF) controlled space and Ozzie and his cargo ship, The Spectre, are the main line of supplying the refugees. Ozzie is accompanied by his Chinni "best friend" Charlie in his adventures in this time period with the help of some of Charlie's family.

First Look At Thomas Dekker In Angel Crest
Labels:

I just saw the new trailer for the new movie Angel Crest starring Thomas Dekker from The Secret Circle. This movie looks so sad as it's plot surrounds a young father (Thomas Dekker) who has lost his toddler while out showing the child the first snow of the season. It looks like a lot of the story surrounds the conflict with the District Attorney (Jeremy Piven) who has also lost a child that is sent in to decide whether or on to prosecute Dekker's character. After watching the trailer i think this is going to be a huge tear jerker as the whole situation is horrible for everyone involved. Dekker has a history of playing really heavy emotional roles and it looks like he is pulling the gloves off for this one. Joseph Morgan, Kate Walsh, and Mira Sorvino round out a spectacular cast for this movie. The release date on this film is December 30, 2012.Here is the trailer for you to watch:

Ozzie Through The Ages Story 2 Published
Labels:
Ozzie Through The Ages
In this story Ozzie is wandering in the present day looking for a place he belongs and crosses paths with another lost soul named Jake. As Jake and Ozzie get very close and awaken Jacob's dormant power a grave threat from Ozzie's past threatens to destroy their future. Can anything be salvaged? Only a witch, a werewolf, a druid, and a dog named Elvis can answer that question. This story dives into Ozzie's sexuality and how it relates to Jake's. It is not pornographic but does honestly deal with the subject. Sexuality wasn't really decided until after i wrote the first story, The Wolf. I didn't know if i was going to tackle the subject but decided with all gay youth struggling in this country that they need some young adult literature written for them instead of just sparkly vampire romances written for females. I am not saying that girls can't read this as I would think they would enjoy it but it's written from a male perspective. Male and female minds process romance VERY differently and most authors don't express that.
